The Board of Regents of New Mexico State University met in Room 75 of the
Dona Ana Branch Community College, Las Cruces, New Mexico, on October 30, 1987.

President Halligan noted Sylvia Reta, ex-officio member, was recently
nominated to The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi and selected as their outstanding
Junior Award Recipient from the College of Human and COlnmunity Services for 1986-87.
Mr. Eddie Groth introduced the following members of the press: Joan MOIris,
Las Cruces Bureau of the E1 Paso Times; Karl Moffatt, Round Up; Kerry Donovan,
KRWG Radio; Kim McNutt, Channel 7 A1buquerque-El Paso; Christopher Lee, Las Cruces
Sun News; and Pamela Damert, Las Cruces Bulletin.
3. APPROVAL OF AGENDA
Mrs. Glover called for an Executive Session to discuss personnel, real estate,
and litigation mattet::s in accordance with the Open Meetings Ac":, Sections 10-15-1,
Subsection E, NMSA 1978, to be held in Room 71 of the Dona Ana Branch Community
College from 12:45 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Upon roll call, Mr. Faubion voted aye,
Mrs. Sanchez voted are, Mr. King voted aye, Mr. Kidd voted aye, al1d Mrs. Glover
voted aye.
