Dear Mr Tombaugh
3 February 1988
brochure which will tell
As you will doubtless know from Patrick, plans are afoot to bring
back THE PLANET PLUTO into print again with Ellis Horwood. I have been
talking to Felicity Horwood, who tells me that if the revised text can
be with her by May, she will hope to publish it this Autumn.
When the book was published originally by Stackpole, the deal was
made on our behalf by Curtis Brown, New York. This time we will be making
the deal with Ellis Horwood direct and selling them world rights. Felicity
Horwood has suggested an advance of £1,000, payable half on signing the
agreement and half on publication against a standard royalty scale. The
plan would be simply to call the book this time THE PLANET PLUTO and leave
out the words 'Out of the Darkness1.
May I ask whether you would be happy foi
all deal on the basis that all the royalties
evious edition, 70% to you and 30% to Patrick.
