Dear Dr Tombaugh,
I recently gave a presentation at the EL Paso unitarian Church. I mentioned
about my interest in astronomy and told the group about my MOON ALMANAC which
was in the Feb 1980 issue of Sky & Telescoped"A couple of members of our group
suggested I contact you on the basis of mutual interests.
Hy presentation was called TESTINJ REALITY. I uBntiored about GalilecStrial
and how he had been forced to deny what he knew was true* By coincidence I hare
just read that he is going to be re-triedjf!l
As part of my program I demonstrated some of my original optical/perceptual
illusions. Some have been in Scientific America!, motion pictures, TV, science
journals, medical schools, science institutes and art museums. I would like
to share some of my work with the unitarian group in Las Cruces, if you think
there might be some interest.
I will be Isdkring at University of Texas, El Paso for the physics, mathematics,
psychology and art departments on illusions in science and art. I also devote
work for INSIGHTS Science Center in El Paso.
I will be in Las Cruces for a workshop on Electro-Optical Systems Atmospheric
Effects at the Physical Science Laboratory, New Mexico State university on 12-13
Nov 1980. If possible I would like to contact you during that visit to Las Cruces.
In the meantime let me know if the unitarian group would be interested in
a program similar to the one I gave in EL Paso on TESTING REALITY.
Sincerely,
PPAxX)^
