Dear Sir:
We have your letter of April 10.
We enclose an illustration of a 15" Reflecting Telescope, one of
our standard designs, the mounting for which would be suitable for your
application. This telescope as shown is electrically driven, but we can
provide it with a sidereal clock drive.
This mounting, without the tube assembly, complete with clock
drive, clamps, setting circles for hour angle and declination, slow motions in declination and right ascension lists at spU,200, F. 0. B. Pittsburgh. The pier, headstock and declination sleeve are substantial iron
castings; the polar axis is a heavy steel forging mounted in precision
S. K. P. bearings; all gears are precision cut of bronze and the worms
are stainless steel.
A telescope of this type was recently supplied to the University
of New Mexico at Albuquerque where you may be able to examine it.
We do not stock instruments of this size, and delivery would require three to five months.
Prices for Pyrex ootical flats finished to l/lO wave are as follows :
12" Diameter / l/k" - 0", #265.00
lU" " ditto , $514.5.00
16" " /or - lA", #625.00
Delivery can be made in 60 to 90 days.
We trust this information will help you, and we look forward to
hearing from your further.
Very truly yours,
