Dear General Nord:
I want to thank you for the beautiful birthday cake that was brought to my
home on the evening of my 75th birthday an iversary. Someone was truly
artistic with the space symbols decorating it. Shared the cake with the
family and it was delicious.
I am very sorry that I was unable to come. A very sore throat overtook
me the evening before, and next morning it appeared that I had better
give up coming to WSMR.
I am planning to come to the gathering of WSMR's Pioneer Group at the
Officers Open Mess on 20 February. Perhaps I may have the pleasure of
meeting you that day.
