Dear Professor
mbaugh,
Please recall that I sent you a copy of my Astronomy Chronology
last year with a request that you might supply names of amateurs
who played significant roles in the ongoing development of this
sc i ence .
You did so, and they were duly incorporated, and thank you yery
much. That chronology version, I believe, was number 60, and I
promised to send you a future version if there was reflected in
it a marked advance. Therefore please accept version 73.
I have been compiling this as a fun thing to do in my retirement
and I have no wish to publish. I have however given many of the
versions to members of the Astronomical Society of Harrisburg,
grandchildren, relatives and friends, even though some seemed a
bit reluctant to accept more than they really wanted to know.
Thanks again for your past letter with the autographed page of
the description of your discovery of Pluto.
ncerely yours,
