It is a pity the long distance between Paris and Las Cruces
will probably not permit me to attend the commemoration for the 50th
Anniversary of discovery of Pluto on Feb. 18,1980 .
Needless to say that if I happen to be in the States at this
date, I will attend the Ceremony with a great pleasure.
It is nice your great contribution to astronomy will be
recognized by your friends after half a century and I wish for the
success of this gathering.
