Upon the 65th Anniversary of Dr. Tombaugh's
Discovery of the Planet Pluto
Dear Friends:
I guess there really aren't words to say to commemorate this
evening's event. I believe we are extremely lucky here in this
room tonight to be able to say we met or knew the only living
person to have discovered a planet in our Solar System.
Dr. Tombaugh is one of the living treasures of our
community and we need to honor him as we are doing tonight. We
appreciate you and your wife, Patsy, and wish you the absolute
best in the years to come.
