CITATIONS (Ss The Newsletter ofthe New Mexico State University Library New and Improved Services for Faculty by Tim McKimmie, Reference, tmckimmi@lib.nmsu.edu In expanding beyond traditional walls the NMSU Library has added many new and improved services. These services are outlined below and several are described in detail on pages 3-5,12. Document Delivery Service. The Library's "Pegasus" service is now available to provide free delivery of books and journal articles. To register, emailpegasus@lib.nmsu.edu or call 646-7676. Current Awareness Service. Available to NMSU science and engineering faculty, this service provides weekly automated searching of "Current Contents", with email delivery of citations meeting your subject and research interests. Contact Tim McKimmie, tmckimmi@lib.nmsu.edu to register. Science Citation Index. This database may be searched via Netscape on the WWW. All citations since 1985 are included and may be searched by author, subject, and cited reference. Searching can be done from any campus computer. The URL is http:// bighorn, lanl.gov: 4001. Email Reference Service. Reference questions can now be answered without leaving your office. Contact a reference librarian for assistance using library resources and finding information. Get your answersviaemail. Send questions toanswers@lib.nmsu.edu. Library WWW Home Page. Using the Library's home page you can connect to hundreds of informative sites. Under our subject section, you will find links to web sites around the world. The TJRL is http://lib.nmsu.edu. Library CD-ROM Network. The Library's CD-ROM Network is available from any main campus location. From the network users may access more than a dozen CD-ROM databases directly from their offices. Contact Chris Landt, 646-6923, or clandt@lib.nmsu.edu to gain access. Book Renewals via Email. You may now renew books by sending a renewal request to renewals@lib.nmsu.edu. Include the book title, bar code number, and your social security number. You will receive a response with the new renewal date. Library Newsletter Gets New Name & New Look The NMSU Library Newsletter has been given a new name, Citations, and a brand new look. Under the direction of the Library Publications Committee, the editors have adopted a new design and layout, which includes the use of the university colors. News of library services and of staff, faculty and library innovations and projects will be published three time a year, January, April and October. Please send us your suggestions.
